About Zayalle

Zayalle is a location-first discovery platform built around one simple promise: Find it Near Me.

What Zayalle is

Most online platforms are built to sell as much as possible, to as many people as possible, from wherever the stock happens to be. Zayalle starts from a different question — the one people actually ask every day: where can I get this, near me, right now? Sometimes the answer is a product on a shelf two streets away. Sometimes it is a mechanic who can come to you, a tailor working from home, a weekend market, or a neighbour giving away the thing you were about to buy.

Zayalle brings those answers together in one place and sorts them by what matters locally: distance, whether something is open or available, and how recently it was confirmed. Search works in plain language, results can be shown as a list or on a map, and Orbit — Zayalle’s discovery assistant — turns a question such as “an open pharmacy near me” into the right search over real Zayalle listings.

What you can discover

  • Products — items sold by nearby shops, with the seller, price and availability. Products share one catalogue entry (often found by barcode) so that the same item is easy to compare across sellers.
  • Local businesses — shops, workshops, clinics, restaurants and other places with their branches, hours and contact details.
  • Business services — repairs, maintenance, health, beauty, transport and the other services businesses provide.
  • Local Skills — independent people who offer a skill without owning a business: tutors, handy helpers, home cooks, tailors, photographers and many more.
  • Deals — time-limited offers published by businesses, shown only while they are valid.
  • Events — local markets, cultural days, family and community events, currently published by the Zayalle team.
  • Community Finds — useful places and services shared by people who know the area, reviewed before they go live and confirmed by others over time.
  • The Community Marketplace — neighbours selling, giving away, swapping, looking for things or asking for help.

Built with the community

Many of the most useful local places are never listed online: the home kitchen with the best harees, the technician everyone recommends, the workshop behind the petrol station. Zayalle lets people who know these places share them as Community Finds, confirm that they are still active, add photos and leave honest reviews. Business owners can claim their listing and keep it accurate.

We also want Zayalle to be useful to people who are building their own income. You don’t need to own a business to offer a useful skill: anyone with an account can create a simple provider profile, and anyone can post in the Community Marketplace. Contact details stay private until the person chooses to share them.

Supporting local businesses and local people

Zayalle is designed to help small, independent and neighbourhood businesses be found without having to compete inside a giant marketplace. Listing basic information is free. Businesses manage their own products, services and offers, and any paid promotion is always labelled as Sponsored so that people can tell the difference between promotion and ordinary results.

What Zayalle does not do (today)

Being clear about our limits is part of being trustworthy. At the moment Zayalle:

  • does not sell products itself and is not a party to any sale, hire or exchange between users;
  • does not process payments, offer checkout, hold money in escrow, or arrange delivery or shipping;
  • is not a job portal or recruitment service, and does not employ the independent providers listed on it;
  • does not verify the identity, qualifications or licences of independent providers — their profiles say “Credentials not verified by Zayalle”;
  • does not offer voice or video calls, and has no global chat room — conversations happen only in the discussion of a specific marketplace post;
  • does not copy business listings, reviews or photos from Google Maps or other services that do not permit it.

Trust and transparency principles

  • Real data only. In live mode Zayalle shows only real records. Empty sections stay empty rather than being filled with made-up examples, and Orbit only answers from real listings.
  • Know where information comes from. Data imported from outside sources keeps its source and permission status and is reviewed by a person before it is published. Owner-managed listings are never overwritten by external data; differences become suggestions.
  • Privacy by default. Account e-mail addresses and phone numbers are never shown publicly. Home-based providers and marketplace posts show an approximate area, not an exact address. We do not record IP addresses in our application database.
  • Clear labels. Sponsored content is labelled. Unverified credentials are labelled. Community content is labelled as community content.
  • Moderation you can see. Anyone can report a listing, provider, post or message. Reports are reviewed, and repeated abuse can lead to suspension.

A gradual approach to verification

Verification is expensive to do properly and harmful to do badly, so we would rather say “not verified” than imply checks we have not made. Today, a business can be marked as claimed by its owner after a review of the claim, and Community Finds are reviewed before publication. Independent provider credentials are not verified. As Zayalle grows we intend to introduce stronger checks step by step — for example identity checks and document reviews for sensitive categories — and we will only show a verification label when that check has actually taken place.

Where Zayalle works

Zayalle is being built first for neighbourhoods in Ras Al Khaimah and the wider UAE, with India as a natural next step and a long-term goal of working anywhere people need to find things nearby. The location model is global from the start, but we only describe areas as covered when there is real content there. Zayalle is currently an early-stage project; we do not claim to hold any licence or registration that we have not obtained, and features may change as the product evolves.
